謝謝你們，台南的知識份子

台南都會報，一份以台南為主題的月刊，今年元月創刊，到這一期為止正好發行12期滿一年。這份由在地教授學者、文史研究者、藝文工作者、詩人、作家…等所聯合執筆的撰稿群，文章內容從文學性報導、評論、旅遊美食生活、現代詩等，環繞這個老城市展露她新舊交融的文化特色，不屬於當下的台北觀點，也不屬於其他任何地方，誠如創刊時的發刊辭：獨特的老城市，總會有自己的想法，自己的格調。
 
或許，比起那些「中華民國的首都在南京」、「一個便當吃不飽就吃兩個」之類的偏離我們真實認知的荒謬情節，這道地的南方觀點應是更接近台灣本土文化調性，更貼近我們的生活。因此，當馬總統自以為魄力的說如果發生危險的話可以摧毀核電廠時，讓我們悲哀的聯想到，這就是一家都拿綠卡的執政者，對這塊土地甚至人民沒有絲毫戀惜悲憫的心態，十座核電廠加起來都沒有一個這樣的總統危險。
 
都會報版面從報紙型態改為雜誌型態，內容更為豐富多元，發行一年來，引起很大的迴響，特別是對台南市執政當局一些重大政策的不同觀點與批判。畢竟，台南是本土文化重鎮，當本土的政黨取得「絕對的權力」時，我們必須關注的是絕不能成為馬總統中央政府的翻版，因為失去制衡而淪為獨斷或腐化，或乖違普是價值，必須有一股出自於超然省思的力量為民眾出聲，雖然我們也知道在無論哪個時代，忤逆當政者總是不討好的，包括被視為異端，被鋪天蓋地的公權力扭曲抹黑。
 
為此，我們向台南各領域裡，不畏權勢願意為正義公理挺身而出的知識份子，說聲感謝，你們無論執筆或發聲，都象徵了台南的民主與進步，寬宏與前衛。

Thank you, the sages in Tainan

Tainan City News, a monthly magazine based on Tainan. It launched in January this year, and until now it is 1 year old meeting the 12th series. This magazine combines wide fields of edition, like local professors, literature & history researchers, art promoters, poets, writers etc. The contents of chapters are with literature report, comments, travel and beverage, and modern poetry. It appears culture features between the new and the old around this antique city. Neither belongs to Taipei’s current aspects, nor the other places. The view is like we spoke before in the 1st series: Unique old city, full of its own idea and style.

Perhaps, compare to the ridiculous rumors like "The capital of ROC is NanKing", "If one lunch box is not enough, then eat two.", the south points of view should be more close to Taiwan local personality, and touch our life. Therefore, when President Ma proudly announced that if any danger occurred he would destroy nuclear factories. What a tragic thought comes to mind: A ruling authority with Green Card has no empathy for the people on this land. Ten nuclear factories are dangerous less than one kind of president.

Tainan City News changes its type from newspaper to magazine. It is more spreading, and increase huge feedback over the past 1 year. The feedback mostly brought different views and comments for Tainan City government. Tainan is a vital local cultural city in overall, when the local party gets the "absolute power", we have to concentrate on not becoming the junior Ma Government. We are afraid of losing balance of right and duty, and then disobey general value. There should be a neutral sound speaking from people. Although we know that no matter when we live, standing opposite side of ruling authority is not beneficial. We may be regarded as heresy or blacken by unknown civic rights.

Therefore, we appreciate the people who stand out for justice without fearing power. Through your writing and speaking, you symbolize democracy, progress, and generosity of the modern Tainan.
